The Allied Label is affixed to printed products by licensed companies whose employees are members of the Printing, Publishing, and Media Workers Sector (PPMWS) of the Communication Workers of America or the Graphic Communications Conference of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters (GCC/IBT).

The PPMWS and GCC/IBT represents women and men in a diverse range of industries, including but not limited to:

  • Daily newspapers
  • Commercial printing
  • Mailing operations
  • Printing
  • Publishing
  • Paper products
  • Graphic design
  • Specialty manufacturing
  • U.S. Government Printing Office

These industries employ craft and skilled employees such as reporters, mailers, paper-handlers, pre-press workers, press operators, bindery workers, as well as those in the specialty and paper converting industries.
